The incredible shrinking ice cream

I have a few more important things to blog about... answers to prayers, current challenges, spiritual experiences I need to record... but right now I'm really really bugged about the incredible shrinking ice cream epidemic!!

We hardly ever get ice cream. Usually for a special occasion, or as tonight was the case, the girls are a little sick and feverish, so I thought they would eat some nice cold ice cream and help cool them off... well... I still was not used to the 1.75 qt ice cream and now it has shrunk to 1.5 qt! ITS OUTRAGOUS!!! and the price seems to be higher (at least tonight it is). I've noticed this with a lot of products and I'm totally annoyed. Another example is these fruit and nut granola bars at sams club. It comes in a box of around 35-36 bars and they seem to last forever... and they were around $7 a box. We'd get them every once in a while... and then the other day I noticed them at the back of the store where they get rid of stuff for incoming/new products. Thanks a lot! they have replaced the bigger box with a 30 count box that cost $2 more! What's the deal!! do one or the other. Raise the price, which I get with the economy and gas prices, higher shipping and overhead... or reduce the quantity... BUT NOT BOTH!!!!

k, I feel better now! I just has to vent!
I guess its not that big of a deal. I just think its crazy about the ice cream though. Now the "half gallon" is almost the size of the little pint ones... both so cute. both so expensive. oh well... maybe the waistlines of America will shrink 1/8 of their size too!!
