We got to spend some time with my loving and fun in-laws... although I don't consider them in-laws... they are just my family. Bill came down from Prescott Valley with his kids Michael and Alicia and we all met up for dinner at Sweet Tomato - yum! Mike and Dave and Bill and Shirlee and the kids! I have the best brown brothers and mother-in-law. And BEST Niece and nephew. They play with the girls so well and have so much fun. We got to spend most of Thursday with them... (oh dreaded Thursdays where Chris is at work all day and class all night! Its the hardest day for me)
At dinner the girls did really great with their salads and especially with their ice cream! (We also went to the mall earlier in the day and that ended with me dragging the kids out by the arm... ready to shoot myself!!) you just never know what two toddlers are going to do.

Later that night Alicia put Keira to bed in the middle of the wood floor in the living room. It was awesome cause she looked like she was really going to go to bed right there.

so tired!

And Jayden played and played with Michael. They are the most compatible 13 year old and 2 year old ever! I have great video of them playing.

Earlier this week we had a little bit of drama too... We lost Jayden's dog at my mom and dad's house. For two days and two nights they looked for it and couldn't find it anywhere. Jayden would wake up after we had to lay with her and coax her to sleep for hours and hours... (like 8pm to midnight both nights) so she would wake up and be half asleep and rummage around her bed for the dog and then just break into hysterical tears. I almost cried for her a few times too, trying to understand that she's lost something she really really loves. So it was so sad!! By about the 4th time she went to bed or nap, she was finally moving along in the grief process. She was choosing between different dogs that we have...
This was the night that she got it back!! (thanks to Aunt Bethany finding it at their new house that we went to visit briefly the other day) She looks so glad to have her doggie back. We're super glad too!!

We've been trying to do crafts to get the girls away from so many movies through out the day

Coloring... their attention span is... well... Keira has a longer attention span than Jayden... but they're getting there...

Then we painted too.

Jayden is looking like such a big girl lately!
Jayden did really good painting... and Keira liked to eat the paint and paintbrush.

And this is me and my beautiful mom. I realize I never have pictures with her and I know some day I'm going to be so ticked at myself... So i'm gonna make a greater effort to get them when we have the camera out and we both look decent.
This was my Birthday on Labor Day. My family all got together and we hung out and ate and swam. We had El Pollo Loco... which is so yummy!! The mosquitos were horrible... that was the only bummer... we were devoured! My big bro Dave got me the hugest big ole chocolate cake!! Thanks Dave
And I decided to go to the gym while the girls took their nap and then I ran home from the gym... at my mom and dad's house its a little over a mile away... it was 3pm and 104 degrees out... and I had already ran for 20 min then I tried to make the way home.. wow!! I almost died. I haven't done that since! that's for sure.

Thanks Mom for the great birthday party!! I know its taken me a long time to post about it... She cleaned her whole house (and its a huge house) and she bought so much food and munchies... not to mention the actual birthday presents and stuff. She always does way to much for me and for my family. Thank you so much!!! It was a great 23rd birthday (ha ha)
