We had a long week or two...
Which was preceded with about of month of taking turns for illness...   multiple ear aches, sore throats, head colds...  literally everyone had some kind of prescription for antibiotic.
And the kids went back to school this week and we were just thinking everything would fall back into place...

Some things did :)   Aleia's usually an angel....

However, now that she is doing this..   up rocking on her hands and knees... she seems to have entered a new phase where she is very unhappy being in her little spot, on a blankie on the living room floor.  She needs to be held or outside or eating - only!!

Kai is a magnificent piece of work.  Just blows my mind his range of tantrums and adorableness, and manipulations and sweetness...    oh my son, God has been watching over you, because my dear, you are still alive :)  and we love you to pieces.

This poor tortured soul has been like this daily - throwing ridiculous 5-year old tantrums.  I seriously don't understand why.  I thought it was because she was under-stimulated (and to be honest the lack or routine at home) for school break... now that she's back in school I think she is exhausted and lacking in sleep while she readjusts to school schedule again...  I'm almost hoping that she still has something physically wrong with her (persistent ear ache??  post-antibiotics??) that is inducing these crazy emotional outbursts (I know!!  I am a horrible human being!!   but sometimes you just wish there is something wrong with them so that it will explain why they do what they do...  this has been one of those times).
But then again, Jayden is my daughter, and from one deeply emotion being to another.... sometimes it just feels like that... day after day.  Sometimes you just got to come home from school, and flop your entire body around, while simultaneous shrieking and whining and babbling incoherently.
(she is still 5 right?!?  she can't be PMS-ing yet right?!?!)

And then there is THIS ONE!!
Keira, who is always the easiest and least volatile (she's actually very even-kill (if that is how you spell it)) , cut a small chunk of her hair.
The girl is OBSESSED with her long hair - so it blows my mind that she would cut it... but this is her sad face as I ask her again why she cut her hair??

Really these two are beautiful!
Heaven help me when they become teenagers :)
Cause I got a feeling that they're not even warmed up yet.

So far the teen years aren't as bad as I thought. Maybe that's the key...expect the worst, hope for the best, and deal with the reality. ;)
