THREE MONTHS TODAY
This little guy is just filling my life with so much joy... you are awesome son.
I can't believe he's only been with us three months. It seems like he's been my little buddy forever. And it also seems like forever ago that I was cooking him in my belly. He is such a joy to our family. He still has that same mellow temperment I talked about when he was first born. His cry often so soft that I can't hear him. He kicks it on the bed or in his swing and loves to watch TV (isn't that horrible!!!) His favorite things are baths and getting diaper changes, and he is happiest in the morning right when he wakes up. He will lay there on his back and talk to me and smile for an hour or two. He still does not like to lay on his stomach too much and has to still sleep on his back and most often is still swaddled to get some good sleep. This past week he started sleeping about 9 hours a night and then will eat at about 6am, then go back to sleep till 9am.
I am always bragging about what a good baby he is, but whenever we are out and around a lot of people he gets fussy... its usually only cause he's tired or hungry. He absolutely is his worst during church... but I can't blame him, its his nap time, my nap time... all of our nap times, so that makes it hard.
He loves his sisters and will talk to them and smile for them. They love to climb onto my bed in the mornings and interact with him. "He's happy!" they always say. "He's smilin!" They like to report to me on what he is doing.
Jayden likes to poke him in the eye for some reason, and Keira likes to put blankets over his head... or, today she tried to make the poor kid do a shaka, and almost broke a couple of his fingers. I can't wait till he's just a little more durable, and the girls can't either... they always tell me all the cool things he's going to do when he gets big... like talk, and crawl, and eat... and if Kai is crying... the Jayden always says... "He's hungry for your boob" its so funny!
Our family has been so blessed by Kai. Everyday he puts a smile on each of our faces.
I think about him growing up, the person he will be. I think about all of my kids in adult form... I think of them before this life and after, and I know they are some of my closest friends. I'm so glad that we are able to be a family here on earth together. I'm not the world's best mom, and closer to one of the more mediocre ones, but I'm learning and growing, and changing a lot I hope. Thank you for the examples around me and before me in my own childhood, thanks mom for all you've done. :)
so anyway, love you son, you're so cute, and so happy, and you make all of use to happy too!
(sleeping at the park today and that first one was him tonight - getting ready for bed)
Other pics... I was practicing shooting in Manual in some good light... then in some harsh light... but got a couple good ones.
Keira was cute today

so cute, good pictures and fun updates on Kai and the girls. So sad that we have to stay up at wee hours of the morning in order to update our blog lives :) BUT the grandparents LOVE IT!
Man, Kai is so photogenic. He looks to be the perfect mix between you guys! See you soon!
