A little recap on Easter...
Dad saved the day and bought some last minute candy and eggs... I found some baskets, but the candy I bought got eaten (as usually happens between chris and me... we can devour anything in a short amount of time... including several bags of easter candy a day before easter for our kids) so... not the the candy was to blame... but I was up all night easter eve and ended up going to the hospital to get checked out.... a little infection that was bringing on some preterm labor, but nothing spectacular... so fortunately i didn't need a terbutaline shot... (hate those!!) and I went home and chris let me sleep the rest of the day...
I did manage to get up and watch the kids find some eggs in the mess of our little place... they were so happy!
Luckily we got to go to Gunstock ranch the day before and although we were late for the huge easter egg hunt, the girls did get to ride a horse, which they have been OBSESSING over since we moved here. They are all up and down north shore with all the country and ranches here. Also, at our favorite spot, Kawela bay, i think they do horse riding groups coming out of Turtle Bay which is right next door.. so we always see them when we're walking to and from the beach and the girls just whine and cry that they want a horse and want to ride one... I keep telling them to save their money :)
Well, luckily for us the horse rides were free! and we waiting in line with some friends and rode the horses around the track (?) Jayden was a little bashful after being so anxious. But both Keira and Jayden loved it!!
'
The view from our car... we just missed them announcing that everyone could go get the eggs... there were hundreds of people running and screaming... it was awesome... we were running to get there as fast as we could!

See... Chris charging ahead with Keira... it had rained the whole night before and there was mud and poop everywhere! he totally slipped, but didn't fall... we were not so bright and should not have worn our slippers to the ranch.. we'll know better for next time

finding a few eggs in the fields

Smiling... but not exactly looking at the camera

She was happy... like usual :)

Zoning out... no more eggs

We lost Keira, as has been happening a lot lately... we found her after a while she was in the cage with the animals... she loved them

waiting patiently (as patiently as toddlers can) for their horse ride... they did really good actually.. it took a little while

Posing with our friends from daddy's work

Jayden getting on the horse first... a little unsure about things as she looks at her dad

And off she goes... she did this kinda serious face until she got around the track and then she was trying not to smile as she rode back up to us... she loved it even though she was a little bashful.

Keira hopped right on and smiled a lot! She loved it too!

Aren't the colors of the ranch and sky and mountains beautiful!
